- Sheriff reports: contact the Union County Sheriff's Office, which accepts inquiries by phone, mail, fax, or at its counter
- Booking and local custody information: call the Union County Jail because no official live roster is published
- Iowa criminal histories: request the record from the Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Criminal Investigation
- Police incident records: ask the police or sheriff's agency that investigated the event
- Expungement filings: submit the correct Iowa Judicial Branch form to the clerk for the court case
