Official Union County criminal records must be requested from the office that created or maintains them. The contacts below route court files to the district court clerk, sheriff reports and booking questions to the Sheriff's Office, and statewide histories to Iowa DCI. This privately operated site cannot retrieve, alter, certify, or file a government record.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot run an official check, retrieve or correct a record, accept a court filing, or issue a certified copy. Contact the responsible public office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Union County records are divided by custodian:

  • Iowa criminal histories: request the record from the Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Criminal Investigation
  • Police incident records: ask the police or sheriff's agency that investigated the event
  • Expungement filings: submit the correct Iowa Judicial Branch form to the clerk for the court case
